I think it gives an alternative to christianity and that's not new  some of the gospels that are treated in the book which that are supposed to say that  Jesus was married to Mary  Magdalene  in mean  those were alternative versions of christianity   that came from the edge and that was true almost from the beginning   that there has always been speculation around the edge of christianity  that saw jesus in a slightly different way.  So what we have today is  only what has always been around alternative understandings of Jesus and his life. Subsequently, the novel maintains,  the church tried to suppress this in order to portray Jesus as the divine son of God.\u003cbr/\u003eThe film is directed by Ron Howard, and stars Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou  and Sir Ian Mckellen. \u003cbr/\u003eThe fast-moving plot begins in the Louvre in Paris and rapidly moves to London, where the climax takes place in the chapter house of Westminster Abbey.\u003cbr/\u003eFor four weeks Hollywood moved to Lincoln: two pre-production weeks, one week filming and one week post production. \u003cbr/\u003eDuring August 2005 many visitors had the excitement of seeing a Hollywood set being built, and they admired the skills of the movie craftsmen.\u003cbr/\u003eAt times almost 500 technicians, film crew, production staff, extras and actors were in and around the cathedral and 22 trailers, vans and generators occupied Minster Yard.\u003cbr/\u003eParts of the nave, the cloisters, and the chapter house were used to film the scenes which in the book took place in Westminster Abbey. \u003cbr/\u003eThe film crew donated all the film props used in the three scenes of the movie to the Cathedral. They're now displayed in the now famous Chapter house ( Lincoln Cathedral).\u003cbr/\u003eLincoln Cathedral took the decision to participate in the filming of  The Da Vinci code because they felt that it would stimulate positive debate about the truth, people's perceptions of the church, and their own faith.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Cathedral is the mother church of the Lincoln Diocese, providing a space for the devotion and worship of God, a centre of pilgrimage, a focus for prayer and a refuge in distress. \u003cbr/\u003eCathedral staff  had to cope with the filming of the controversial movie \"The Da Vinci Code \" while maintaining Christian life and worship.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Cathedral was only closed to the public for two days during the filming in the nave, and only one service was relocated to a neighbouring church. \u003cbr/\u003eAll other services continued as normal. Filming was restricted to the nave, the cloister and the chapter house.\u003cbr/\u003eIn his novel, \"The Da Vinci Code\", Dan Brown imagines the Church has suppressed the truth about Jesus' relationship with Mary Magdalene, and that she bore him a child.\u003cbr/\u003eHistorians and theologians continue to argue about the
