smuggling, including stiffer laws and closer police cooperation.\u003cbr/\u003eThe three-day conference on Indonesia's Bali island brought together an unprecedented 37 nations from Asia, the Middle East and the Pacific.\u003cbr/\u003eIt concluded with participants agreeing on a set of recommendations on how to tackle people trafficking and other crimes.\u003cbr/\u003eDelegates agreed on the establishment of two panels of experts which will analyse specific issues and identify common problems.\u003cbr/\u003eTheir  recommendations will be discussed at a follow-up conference in Australia next year.\u003cbr/\u003eA statement approved on the final day of the conference warned that \"many smuggling activities are being organised by criminal networks also involved in the trafficking of
