Mid shot of van driving away. \u003cbr/\u003eConcern for the environment and the rise in oil prices is making many people across the world re-consider what fuel they use in their car. \u003cbr/\u003eThe eco-bug has even spread to some normally fuel-guzzling car owners in the United States. \u003cbr/\u003eBut is it the future of the environment or the future of the oil price that is the deciding factor in their choice of fuel ? \u003cbr/\u003eOn a busy boulevard near San Diego, California, American consumers are visiting the Pearson Ford fuel depot, where customers can choose from EIGHT different fuels. \u003cbr/\u003eCustomers can fill their cars with the usual regular or premium petrols.  \u003cbr/\u003eOr they can go with any number of alternative fuels -- like propane, natural gas, ethanol, or something called BioWillie. \u003cbr/\u003eBioWillie is a brand of biodiesel -- a cleaner burning version of diesel made from soybeans and promoted by singer Willie Nelson. \u003cbr/\u003eAnd BioWillie has clean-air conscious customers coming to Pearson's to fill up. \u003cbr/\u003eThey call it a one-of-kind, one-stop-shop for fuel, and suggest that it may be the only station of its kind in the country to offer consumers such a wide range of clean-burning fuels.\u003cbr/\u003eManager Mike Lewis says that has customers coming from all over the West Coast \u003cbr/\u003eThe drivers like to think they are helping the environment. \u003cbr/\u003eThe station isn't profitable yet. \u003cbr/\u003eBut Mike Lewis says that could change if oil prices force consumers to seriously consider other fuels.\u003cbr/\u003eAlready, sales of alternative fuels at Pearson usually hinge on the cost of gasoline and diesel. \u003cbr/\u003eWhen those prices are climbing, alternative fuels account for as much as 30 percent of overall sales\u003cbr/\u003eUPSOUND EcoCentre guide: (English)\u003cbr/\u003e\"Can you guys say hybrid? Do you know what a hybrid is? It's a type of car that runs on cleaner alternative fuel.\"\u003cbr/\u003eHere they are trying to do more than SELL alternative fuel, they're also trying to educate a next-generation of drivers on the science of clean-burning cars and fuels. \u003cbr/\u003eLocal school children get a lesson on the benefits of clean fuels at the EcoCentre for Alternative Fuel. \u003cbr/\u003eBut environmental concerns aside Lewis admits, the rising price at the pump will ultimately be the deciding factor for many consumers.  \u003cbr/\u003eAlready some American consumers have been convinced by the idea of cleaner, cheaper, fuels. \u003cbr/\u003eBut most analysts agree it will take a lot more converts before America can end its addiction to
