It's clear they aren't coming to see the statuesque Texan's acting - and her lack of experience has been harshly exposed, according to critics.\u003cbr/\u003eHall's performance as the middle-aged, gin-sodden temptress in the 60s classic has received a less than glowing response.  One reviewer stingingly described her acting as being \"as wooden as a toothpick\" at times.  Criticising her almost inaudible delivery of some lines, he added: \"The Texan accent wobbled like a learner cyclist, her dramatic pauses sagged horribly and her range of emotions would not have discredited a retiring clam.\"\u003cbr/\u003eIn contrast to the classic film version of 'The Graduate', in which a young Dustin Hoffman was convincingly seduced by Anne Bancroft, Hall and co-star JOSH COHEN failed to ignite any passion, concluded the London critics.\u003cbr/\u003eHall - the former wife of roving-eyed Rolling Stone MICK JAGGER - is reputedly being paid ÂŁ10,000 ($15,000) plus a share of the profits.  She calls the play \"a new beginning\" after a disastrous year, even if her acting talents are not fully appreciated by the critics.\u003cbr/\u003eThe play was adapted by director TERRY JOHNSON from CHARLES WEBB's novel and CALDER WILLINGHAM and BUCK HENRY's 1967 movie screenplay.\u003cbr/\u003eIt tells of Benjamin's (Cohen) struggle to comes to terms with his future prospects after graduating from college.  Benjamin is lethargic about starting life after university, and frustrates his parents' ambitions by initially rejecting their suggested partner for him, the daughter of family friends, Elaine Robinson. \u003cbr/\u003eHe is shaken out of his apathy after not Elaine but her mother, Mrs Robinson, initiates an affair with him.  After indulging in regular casual sex with his parents' friend, Benjamin comes to the realisation that he is, in fact, in love with her daughter Elaine.  He then discovered the reasons behind the calculating Mrs Robinson's interest in him - to prevent him and Elaine getting together.\u003cbr/\u003eJerry Hall has been generating many tabloid inches since announcing she was taking over the role.  Of her former long-time partner Jagger, from whom she split last year after more than 20 years together, she feels sympathy, and hopes he finds what he is looking for.  She added that she still loves him but promiscuity creates chaos.  She continues to see the wrinkly rocker, and they are frequently pictured happily out together with the children. \u003cbr/\u003eJagger also played his part in Jerry's preparations for the role.  \"He's been helping me learn my lines - he's a very good Benjamin,\" Hall says.  \"It's another of his duties.\"\u003cbr/\u003e\"It's a wonderful part, Mrs Robinson.  I feel like I understand the character.  The difference is that unlike Kathleen Turner, every night on stage I really will be trying to pick up that young boy.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe model took acting lessons from a coach who works at the Globe Theatre in London, as well as having voice training.  Hall also worked on the physical aspects for her nude scene, in which she tries to seduce Benjamin.\u003cbr/\u003eHall says she has no qualms about appearing nude.  Of the scene itself she says: \"I'm just going to let it all hang out. I'm going to imagine that I'm a warrior queen in a suit of armour.
