It can raise awareness of environmental problems and in Israeli it's not such a known discipline - eco-art, ecology-art - but in the United States, for instance, artists do reclamation and preservation of damaged areas all over.\"\u003cbr/\u003e16. Pan from cement mixer and project launch to stream bed\u003cbr/\u003eIsraeli environmentalists and art groups have got together for what must be one of the strangest acts of eco-tourism ever held - the 'Concert for Cement Mixers'.\u003cbr/\u003eDance groups joined cement mixers, artists and drummers at the Etziona Stream not far from Jerusalem as they set about creating environmental awareness of a stream in danger of being polluted by waste from a nearby cement works.\u003cbr/\u003eA mixture of leftover cement and construction waste has been dumped in the stream over a period of time, resulting in the blocking of the stream and damage to the fragile local environment.\u003cbr/\u003eThe project's initiator, artist Shai Zakai, in conjunction with the local Shafir Quarries, is leading this unique project for the reclamation and cleaning of the stream.\u003cbr/\u003eIt was Zakai's idea to hold such an usual launch of the project to create awareness among cement lorry drivers and local people.\u003cbr/\u003eCentral to the launch was the construction of the 'Last Supper Table' - a massive iron table onto which local drivers dumped their waste cement.\u003cbr/\u003eWaste material that had been cleaned from the site over the last two years was placed in the wet cement to provide a 'monument' to the end of the creek's contamination.\u003cbr/\u003eA group of female dancers, called Livingroomers, presented choreographed pieces staged especially for the event, marking the 'social and spiritual reclamation' of the site.\u003cbr/\u003eOther artists drummed and danced around the cement tables, marking the start of the hiking route along the creek.\u003cbr/\u003eActivists hope this joint project between environmentalists and the construction industry will
