I think this is a legitimate complaint,\" Garrido said. \u003cbr/\u003eShows like Blue Man and New Order each included three Black models in their rosters. \u003cbr/\u003e19-year-old Daiane Sodre was one of those models. She is scheduled to walk in more than half a dozen shows during Fashion week. \u003cbr/\u003e\"There are very few Black models in Fashion Rio and Sao Paulo Fashion Week. I think they should have a lot more. There are very few,\" Sodre said. \u003cbr/\u003eFor Totem designer Yame Reis, whose color-infused collection included three Black models, it is about talent and preparation not race.\u003cbr/\u003e\"I think the modeling agencies can try to fill that gap by looking for good Black models. I think that is valid, I am completely in favor of that. They simply have to meet the professional standards of everyone else who is here, no matter what color they are,\" Reis said. \u003cbr/\u003eMore than fifty percent of Brazil's population of 192 million people are of African descent.
