Their mobiles, the captain had three mobile phones he told me all of them went and then the worst part of it is that these guys, they even went to the engine room and they siphoned the fuel. Various shots of M.V Sea Horse\u003cbr/\u003eThe Togo-flagged MV Sea Horse arrived in Mombasa port on Tuesday, after reportedly being hijacked by pirates.  \u003cbr/\u003eThe freighter was allegedly hijacked on the 14 April off the Somali coast after it was surrounded by several pirate skiffs.\u003cbr/\u003eBernard Odemba of the Mombasa Port Authority said the captain of the Sea Horse had told him they had been hijacked about 5 weeks ago, but at this stage the reason for the discrepancy in the timing of the hijacking cannot be verified.\u003cbr/\u003eIt is also not known under what circumstances the ship came to be allowed to dock at Mombasa.\u003cbr/\u003eOdemba said they said the crew had told him they had been harassed everyday by the pirates, who had fired on the ship, smashing windows and on one occasion narrowly missing the ships radar equipment.\u003cbr/\u003e\"The pirates took everything that they had,\" Odemba said. \"They even went to the engine room and they siphoned the fuel.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe Sea Horse was heading to Mumbai in India, to pick up 7,327 tons of WFP (World Food Programme) supplies destined for Somalia. \u003cbr/\u003eSomalia, Kenya's neighbour on Africa's eastern coast, has become the staging ground for dozens of attacks by pirates in small boats. \u003cbr/\u003eAnalysts say the problem cannot be solved by security alone, arguing that piracy is a byproduct of Somalia's tailspin into anarchy following the 1991 overthrow of its government.\u003cbr/\u003eShip-owners sometimes pay large ransoms, which are split between a number of pirates. \u003cbr/\u003eIndividual pirates can net 5-thousand to 10-thousand US dollars per successful hijacking in a nation where the average person earns around 600 US dollars a
