The conference should cover the points like initial assessment of the accident, considering lessons that need to be learned and launching the process of strengthening nuclear safety and strengthening the response to nuclear accidents and emergencies.\"\u003cbr/\u003e8. plant \"continues to be very serious\".\u003cbr/\u003e\"The difficult situation has not been overcome\" told reporters in Vienna, adding that \"radioactivity in the environment, food stuff and water is a matter of concern in the vicinity of Fukushima plant and beyond.\"\u003cbr/\u003eOfficials in Japan warned on Monday that radiation seeping from reactors 1, 2 and 3 at the Fukushima nuclear complex is being caused by damaged fuel rods and the reactors could be in partial meltdown.\u003cbr/\u003eThe utility company that operates Japan's crippled nuclear plant said contaminated water was discovered in trenches around three reactor units.\u003cbr/\u003eWorkers are still trying to clear hundreds of tons of contaminated water from several buildings at the Fukushima Dai-ichi plant, which was disabled in the March 11 earthquake and ensuing tsunami. \u003cbr/\u003eTests of seawater show that radioactive contamination has spread about a mile (1.6 kilometres) farther north of the nuclear site than before. \u003cbr/\u003eAmano also said he was convening a high-level conference, possibly in late June, to examine safety procedures at nuclear plants worldwide in the wake of the Japan disaster.\u003cbr/\u003eAmano says the meeting will focus on assessments of the Fukushima Dai-ichi disaster, lessons that need to be learned and ways of strengthening the international response to such accidents.\u003cbr/\u003eHe said that - beyond experts - the IAEA's 151 members will be sending government representatives, saying presence at a \"political level\" is necessary due to the
