Ford Museum in Grand Rapids, in the US State of Michigan, is closing until further notice due to the death of the former president on Tuesday.\u003cbr/\u003eHe was 93.\u003cbr/\u003eHowever, books of condolence will be available for visitors in the museum's vestibule, which will be open 24 hours a day.\u003cbr/\u003eThe galleries feature hands-on, interactive, video, and holographic displays, such as exhibits of Ford at work in the Oval Office and pop culture of the 1970s.\u003cbr/\u003eThe museum, which was opened to the public in September 1981, is part of the presidential libraries system of the National Archives and Records Administration, a Federal agency.\u003cbr/\u003e\"George Bush Senior, Alan Greenspan, Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, Carla Hills, all these people pretty much got their start under President Ford,\" said Jim Kratsas, Deputy-Director of the museum, in an interview about the former president's legacy.\u003cbr/\u003eThe museum also contains Mrs Ford's interview with popular CBS television current affairs programme \"60 Minutes\". \u003cbr/\u003eElizabeth Ford, better known as Betty Ford, was the first to openly discuss, in front of the American people, private problems such as breast cancer and substance abuse.\u003cbr/\u003e\"I'm not quite sure there has ever been a more open First Lady. Eleanor Roosevelt may have been more active. Hillary Clinton may have been more vocal. But I don't think there was anybody who was more open than Mrs Ford. Ford, who picked up the pieces of Richard Nixon's scandal-shattered White House as the 38th president in 1974, was the only unelected president in America's history. \u003cbr/\u003eThe statement announcing Gerald Ford's death did not say where he died nor list a cause of death. \u003cbr/\u003eFord had battled pneumonia in January 2006 and underwent two heart treatments, including an
