be seen in the melting glaciers around Greenland, but the experts are still in the dark about the underlying cause.\u003cbr/\u003eMeltwater seeping down to the base of the glaciers, lubricating the bedrock has long been suspected ,but now scientists are questioning that theory and eyeing the ocean currents passing through the region.\u003cbr/\u003e[Notes:Fiamma Straneo, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution:]\u003cbr/\u003eScientists from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution recently teamed with Greenpeace aboard the Arctic Sunrise to try and get to the bottom of the as much as 39 degrees Fahrenheit, confirming that subtropical waters carried north by the Gulf Stream are contributing to the melts.\u003cbr/\u003eScientists say the influx is a natural process, but
