Electrica SA, after its Bolivian subsidiary was nationalised on May 1.   \u003cbr/\u003eThe Spanish Secretary of State for International Cooperation with Ibero-America, Jesus Manuel Gracia Aldaz, arrived in La Paz eight days after Morales issued a decree nationalising Red Electrica's subsidiary, Transportadora de Electricidad (TDE).\u003cbr/\u003eAfter the meeting, Bolivia's foreign minister David Choquehuanca said both countries had agreed that \"there should be a fair price\" for the company.\u003cbr/\u003e\"We will work jointly as planned so a third party can do an evaluation and establish a fair price,\" he said. \u003cbr/\u003eThe seizure of TDE was announced by President Evo Morales at a ceremony marking May Day but the Spaniards had only been notified three hours earlier, according to Red Electrica officials.\u003cbr/\u003eSpanish officials have warned that Bolivia's nationalisation of Red Electrica, which owned most of its electricity grid, will hurt the Latin American country's image among international investors.\u003cbr/\u003eRed Electrica owned 74 percent of Bolivia's transmission grid, or 1,720 miles (2,772 kilometres) of high voltage lines.\u003cbr/\u003eThe company has denied Bolivia's accusations that the local unit did not invest enough in the grid, saying that Bolivia only accounted for 1.5 percent of the company's revenues.\u003cbr/\u003eThe nationalisation comes at a bad time for the Spanish government, the owner of 20 percent of Red Electrica, as it faces a recession, mass unemployment and investor concerns
