Pan room\u003cbr/\u003eThe US commerce secretary issued a stern warning on Thursday against copyright infringement in China as he began a visit amid worsening tensions over soaring exports of Chinese textiles that are flooding foreign markets.\u003cbr/\u003e\"We can have a dispute about textiles but do not believe that intellectual property rights are negotiable\" said Carlos Gutierrez, who spoke at an American Chamber of Commerce luncheon in Beijing.\u003cbr/\u003eHis visit comes after Beijing this week revoked tariffs meant to slow the growth of textile exports and accused the US and Europe of violating free trade principles by imposing import controls.\u003cbr/\u003eGutierrez was to meet with his Chinese counterpart, Bo Xilai, and with Vice Premier Wu Yi, who earlier negotiated China's entry into the free-trading World Trade Organisation.\u003cbr/\u003eGutierrez said last week that he planned to press China to crack down on rampant piracy of movies, music and video games.\u003cbr/\u003eChina also faces pressure from the US and other governments to raise the state-set exchange rate of its currency, which its trading partners say is too low and gives Chinese exporters an unfair price advantage.\u003cbr/\u003eThe US has imposed quotas to restrain the growth of imports of low-priced Chinese textiles, which have surged since a worldwide quota system ended on
