Some of the things that they illustrated that are being done to them in this report, some of the techniques that I consider to be flatly illegal are the short shackles where you are chained to a ring on the floor in the interrogation room for up to twelve to sixteen hours in some cases, can't urinate for up to sixteen hours at a time, temperatures taken up to extreme, temperatures taken down, loud strobe noise played, guns were put to heads of some of the people while they were under interrogation - completely illegal practice, stripping, numerous cavity searches that were unnecessary in terms of security. Walking shot of empty detention cells\u003cbr/\u003eThere were new allegations on Wednesday of abuse and mistreatment of detainees at the US military base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.\u003cbr/\u003eThree Britons freed from Guantanamo Bay claim they suffered systematic brutality and humiliation during their detention there.\u003cbr/\u003eA report released by their lawyers claims the men were held in open cages in the sweltering Cuban heat, with scorpions and snakes roaming the cells.\u003cbr/\u003eIt also claims the prisoners were treated brutally to force them to make false confessions.\u003cbr/\u003eAsif Iqbal, Ruhal Ahmed and Shafiq Rasul, three friends from Tipton in central England, were released without charge from Guantanamo in March after being held for more than two years.\u003cbr/\u003eAccording to the 155-page report compiled by the men and their lawyers, the men were detained in Northern Afghanistan in November of  2001, by forces loyal to a local warlord and held for 30 days, then turned over to US Special Forces.\u003cbr/\u003eThe men claim they were performing humanitarian work there and had nothing to do with al-Qaida or the Taliban.\u003cbr/\u003eBut they say, under intense pressure and maltreatment, Asif Iqbal confessed to being the man interrogators pointed to on a videotape with Osama Bin Laden. \u003cbr/\u003eIn truth, Iqbal was in England at the time the videotape was made and what he calls his forced confession was later disproved by British intelligence.\u003cbr/\u003eThe former detainees claim that other prisoners at Guantanamo Bay were subjected to brutal treatment similar to the abuse later uncovered at Abu Ghraib in Iraq.\u003cbr/\u003eThey say prisoners were stripped naked and forced to watch videotapes of other prisoners ordered to sodomise each other.\u003cbr/\u003eThe men said the guards would throw the prisoners' Qurans into the toilet and forcibly shave the prisoners in an effort to make them abandon their Muslim faith.\u003cbr/\u003eOther allegations include shackling by prison guards, exposure to extreme temperatures, beatings and the use of dogs.\u003cbr/\u003eThe report specifically names a handful of current detainees who have allegedly been abused.\u003cbr/\u003eAt the top of the list are Jamil el Banna and Bisher al-Rawi, both from London.\u003cbr/\u003eEl Banna and al-Rawi's Washington lawyer said on Wednesday he was not surprised by the report's troubling contents.\u003cbr/\u003eBut Brent Mickum said he has no way to verify the information about his clients because the US government will not allow him access to them.\u003cbr/\u003eHe said this latest report echoes allegations of mistreatment from other released detainees.  \u003cbr/\u003eUS military
