Wide of official banner of Documentary Festival \"Ambulante\"\u003cbr/\u003eDiego Luna and Gael Garci'a Bernal, actors and creators of a new travelling documentary  festival \"Ambulante\"  took some time on the red carpet on Thursday in Mexico City, to describe their hopes and dreams for the first time Mexican film festival.\u003cbr/\u003e\"When we know that all the rooms are full and the distributors believe that documentary can be a good business, then we will know the battle was won,\" an excited Diego Luna, said.\u003cbr/\u003eThe festival is being launched by Mexican production company Canana, founded by the two prominent Latin American actors - former \"Y Tu Mama Tambien\" co-stars Bernal (\"Babel,\") and Luna (\"Frida\").\u003cbr/\u003eLuna explained how the \"Ambulante\" festival was an essential tool, in harnessing and maintaining Mexican film talent. \u003cbr/\u003e\"We must take care of talented Mexican people, so the cinema directors can work in their own country and not to keep away from it. In other ways, we must celebrate them and we must feel proud because they are Mexicans and they are very \"chingones\" (successful); that is very important and we must be excited about that,\" he said.\u003cbr/\u003eUntil now, there have been no cinematography industry in Mexico Luna said, but stressed there are talented people there who must be recognised. \u003cbr/\u003e\"I hope that government, institutions and private companies can believe in Mexican talents, so we don't need to wait for big companies,\" he said.\u003cbr/\u003eCanana has collaborated with the Morelia International Film Festival to create a film festival with a twist. \u003cbr/\u003eThe first of its kind in Mexico, the initiative will bring a full week of documentaries to places where they are rarely seen - towns like Metepec, Puebla, Villahermosa and Merida. \u003cbr/\u003eThe ambitious 16-city tour kicks off in Mexico City (following an opening night party) from February 10-16 and concludes in Cuernavaca with a March 31 - April 6 run. \u003cbr/\u003eThe editions in Guadalajara, Monterrey and Tijuana will be augmented with special cocktail receptions and press events.\u003cbr/\u003eNot only is the mission of \"Ambulante\" to promote access to documentary film in the region, but it also aims to help with production of documentaries in Mexico, promoting filmmaking as more than simply a means of expression. \u003cbr/\u003eIn the words of the programme's press material, the organisers assert that \"promoting a documentary culture is particularly necessary in Mexico, a country that has witnessed an increasing polarisation in socioeconomic class, political affiliation, and demographic distribution... Within its mobility it hopes to breed the capacity to gaze and think beyond borders.\"\u003cbr/\u003eMore than one dozen titles have been chosen for the inaugural run of Ambulante, covering a broad range of material from Mercedes Alvarez's \"El Cielo Gira\", about a year in the life of a small village in northern Spain, to Carlos Armella and Pedro Gonzalez-Rubio's \"Toro Negro\", which exposes the dark side of an alcoholic bullfighter who abuses his girlfriend. \u003cbr/\u003eEnglish language selections include Jonathan Caouette's experiment \"Tarnation\", a collage of his upbringing by a mentally ill mother, and Jennifer Abbott and Mark Achbar's chilling study \"The Corporation\", a disturbing psychological examination of the corporate organisational model.\u003cbr/\u003eDespite the resurgence of serious filmmaking in Mexico, documentaries remain an uncertain commercial prospect.  \u003cbr/\u003eAmbulante aims to fill the resulting gap, programming films that would not otherwise
