The dead Afghans were their translator and driver.\u003cbr/\u003eOfficials said it was too early to say whether anti-government militants were responsible. \u003cbr/\u003eArmed robberies are regularly reported in the region, but attacks by suspected Taliban are rare.\u003cbr/\u003eMullah Abdul Hakim Latifi, a purported spokesman for the Taliban, called The Associated Press and said the militia staged the attack and named the village. \u003cbr/\u003eHe threatened more attacks and claimed that \"international aid workers were working for the policy of America.\"\u003cbr/\u003eMeanwhile, President Hamid Karzai insisted that security was not a problem in Afghanistan despite the killing of the workers\u003cbr/\u003e\"This is a very, very sad incident. said he would ask Bush for further assistance in Afghanistan and said he was seeking a \"partnership\" with America for a \"stronger, better Afghanistan\".\u003cbr/\u003eKarzai also strongly criticised columnist Robert Novak, over allegations of corruption which appeared in an article last week.  \u003cbr/\u003e\"Hamid Karzai, the US-sponsored Afghan president, is regarded by the US
