Wide of journalists at news conference\u003cbr/\u003eTwo athletes were disqualified from the 2008 Beijing Games on Friday for failing doping tests, as the International Olympic Committee (IOC) insisted it was catching up with drug cheats.\u003cbr/\u003eThe IOC announced that North Korean shooter, Kim Jong Su had been stripped of his silver medal in the 50-metre pistol and bronze in the 10-metre air pistol after testing positive for propanolol.\u003cbr/\u003eVietnamese gymnast, Thi Ngan Thuong Do, who finished last in the women's floor exercise, was also disqualified after testing positive for the diuretic furosemide.\u003cbr/\u003eThis brings the total number of athletes so far disqualified from the Games to three, in what organisers claim will be the most comprehensively monitored games ever.  \u003cbr/\u003eOver 4,500 tests are planned which is 20 percent more than at the Athens games in 2004.\u003cbr/\u003eIOC medical commission chairman Arne Ljungqvist said he considered Kim guilty of \"a deliberate intake\" of a banned substance because of propanolol's specific benefit for shooters.\u003cbr/\u003eBut he said the Vietnamese gymnast may have inadvertently used furosemide due to poor information.\u003cbr/\u003eLjungqvist said he believed anti-doping officials were getting better at catching drug cheats.\u003cbr/\u003e\"The cheaters are not way ahead.
