Fox could go 'Back to the Future', he probably would have changed the weather.\u003cbr/\u003eBut the Californian rain didn't stop the TV and film star from taking centre stage as the 2,209th star on the Walk of Fame.\u003cbr/\u003eFox was joined at the ceremony by members of his family, and his 'Back to the Future' director, Robert Zemeckis.\u003cbr/\u003eFox, now gravely ill with Parkinson's Disease, began acting in his native Canada at the age of 15, and three years later he was trying his luck in Hollywood.\u003cbr/\u003eWithin just a few months, he scored the major role of Alex Keaton on hit TV series 'Family Ties' and went on to win three Emmy awards.\u003cbr/\u003eThat catapulted Fox to international stardom and the role of Marty McFly in the 'Back to the Future' movies. \u003cbr/\u003eTo coincide with his \"star\", Fox launched a special DVD collection of the popular trilogy at Universal Studios on Monday night. \u003cbr/\u003eIn recent years, Fox has been doing work behind the scenes, most recently as the voice of  'Stuart Little' in the animated movies. \u003cbr/\u003eFox scored another Emmy award for his role in 'Spin City', based on City Hall in New York, but had to quit two years ago because his Parkinson's Disease began to take hold.\u003cbr/\u003eIt's his work outside of the limelight that's won him the most admirers. \u003cbr/\u003eWhile fighting his own debilitating illness, the star has set up his own foundation to find a cure for Parkinson's Disease by the year 2010. \u003cbr/\u003eSo far, he's raised 25 (m) million US dollars for research. \u003cbr/\u003eProceeds from his autobiography 'Lucky Man'\" are going straight to his charity. \u003cbr/\u003eAnd in the words of his family and friends at the Hollywood ceremony, they are the
