There was apparently an incident. We are working at the senior levels of the Egyptian government. Our ambassador is working with senior levels of the Egyptian government to understand what happened. The reason why you want to do that is you want to make sure that it doesn't happen again. At this point, I think we're still trying to get a good timeline and sort through all of the facts. But like I said, we're working through this in a cooperative way with the Egyptian government so that these sorts of things don't happen again in the future.\"\u003cbr/\u003e11. Reporter asking question\u003cbr/\u003eThe US State Department  urged the Chinese government on Wednesday to engage in dialogue with the Dalai Lama.\u003cbr/\u003e\"He is a man of peace, he is a man of reconciliation, he could be part of the long term sustainable solution to questions surrounding Tibet,\" spokesman Sean McCormack told reporters.\u003cbr/\u003eHe said the Beijing Olympics are an \"opportunity for China to allow greater freedom of expression, greater freedoms for journalists to report on events in China\".\u003cbr/\u003eChina has said the violence was orchestrated by the Dalai Lama's followers, part of a spreading campaign to discredit independent reports on the protests, which began peacefully among Buddhist monks on 10 March, the anniversary of a failed 1959 uprising against Chinese rule.\u003cbr/\u003eWorld leaders have condemned China's reaction to the protests, but French President Nicolas Sarkozy on Tuesday suggested he could boycott the opening ceremony at the Beijing Olympics in August.\u003cbr/\u003eAlso on Wednesday, referring to the possible restoration of Pakistani sacked judges, McCormack said it was \"completely a decision for the Pakistani political system to arrive at in the context of their laws and their constitution\".\u003cbr/\u003e\"We're certainly not going to try to interpret those laws or constitution for them nor are we going to try to dictate to them what they should or should not do in this regard,\" he said.\u003cbr/\u003eA new prime minister, Yousaf Raza Gilani, who took office on Tuesday, immediately prompted authorities to release senior judges ousted and put under house arrest when President Pervez Musharraf imposed emergency rule last year.\u003cbr/\u003eThe government is promising to restore the sacked judges within 30 days, a move that would make it hard for Musharraf to continue in office.\u003cbr/\u003e\"President Musharaf has been a good friend and a good ally in a variety of different regards.
