The hall is dominated by  three 30-foot (10-metre) high steel towers, sculptures created by 88-year-old French American artist LOUISE BOURGOIS, entitled 'I Do', 'I Undo', and 'I Re-do'.\u003cbr/\u003eShe's also responsible for the giant female spider, 'Maman', the first work of art to greet vistors as they enter the museum.\u003cbr/\u003eA long airy light-box now covers the top of the building, but the architects aimed to respect the integrity of the original structure, keeping  hints to its former industrial life, like the wooden floors, intact.\u003cbr/\u003eOnce inside, three floors of galleries feature four themed rooms, each spanning 1900 to the present day.\u003cbr/\u003eThe collection follows the major genres of art established by the French Academy in the seventeenth century -  landscape, still life, the nude and history painting.  The displays trace the ways in which these genres have survived and been radically transformed through the twentieth century.\u003cbr/\u003e'Landscape, Matter and Environment' features MONET's 'Waterlilies', while RICHARD LONG's 'Waterfall Line' and 'Red Slate Circle' are close by.\u003cbr/\u003eJACKSON POLLOCK'S 'Summertime' is here, so it ANDY WARHOL'S 'Marilyn Diptych'.\u003cbr/\u003eThe work that made FRANCIS BACON's name is also here - the disturbing post war 'Three Studies for Figures at the Base of a Crucifixion'.\u003cbr/\u003eAnd the king of surrealism SALVADOR DALI is included, with his 'Lobster Telephone' taking pride of place.\u003cbr/\u003eOne floor features temporary installation art.  RACHEL WHITEREAD's Turner Prize-winning 'Ghost' is here, as is ANTHONY GORMLEY'S 1981 work 'Three Ways: Mould, Hole and Passage'.\u003cbr/\u003eAll the galleries here form part of a building that aims to generate energy, much like the power station it once was.\u003cbr/\u003eA cafe at the top of the newly transformed building offers striking views over London.
