Barker escapes and takes on the name of Sweeney Todd. Todd, who is a barber by trade, seeks to take out revenge on all of the people who have wronged him. \u003cbr/\u003eDepp, who is a father, says he can personally relate to his character's determination to protect his family:\u003cbr/\u003e\"Of course. I think we all can. As a father you would go to any great lengths. As a father you would go to any great lengths for your family.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe actor says he enjoys playing dark characters.\u003cbr/\u003e\"With every character you play there is some opportunity for therapy in a sense,\" Depp tells AP Television. \"There is exploration to some degree, exorcism in a way.\"\u003cbr/\u003eBurton says he had no idea that Depp could sing:\u003cbr/\u003e\"No I didn't, but he said he thought he could do it that that was good enough for me. He wouldn't say it if he couldn't do it. He did surprise me. It was better than I thought so that is always an exciting surprise.\"\u003cbr/\u003eBurton says the duo will for sure collaborate in the future.
