guerrillas on trial for kidnapping.\u003cbr/\u003eFor a second day, Jeffrey Schilling of Oakland, California, appeared under heavy guard Friday, at the trial of Hector Janjalani, an alleged Abu Sayyaf leader facing charges of kidnapping, murder and drug possession.\u003cbr/\u003eThe trial, originally scheduled to be held near Abu Sayyaf lairs in the southern Philippines, has been held in recent months in a police camp in Taguig, near Manila, for security reasons.\u003cbr/\u003eJanjalani, 28, is the older brother of Khadaffy Janjalani, who currently leads the Abu Sayyaf and is among five Abu Sayyaf leaders indicted in absentia in July.\u003cbr/\u003ePhilippine Justice Secretary Hernando Perez met Schilling after his court appearance Friday and thanked him for traveling back to the Philippines to testify.\u003cbr/\u003eSchilling will stay at an undisclosed location until he completes his testimony against Janjalani and other captured Abu Sayyaf guerrillas.\u003cbr/\u003eArmy
