Close up of Toyota Auris\u003cbr/\u003eToyota Motor Corp. said a recall of eight models in Europe over faulty gas pedals may affect up to 1.8 million (m) cars.\u003cbr/\u003eThe company said it would recall its biggest seller Yaris, the Corolla and the RAV4 sports  utility vehicle.\u003cbr/\u003eToyota added than it could not give a precise number for how many cars would be involved.\u003cbr/\u003eToyota Motor Corp. said on Friday it would begin telling millions of customers how it will repair their sticky gas pedal systems next week, and repairs will be finished in less than a month.\u003cbr/\u003eA company spokesman said the automaker was moving quickly to correct the problem that affected about 4.2 (m) million vehicles in the US, Europe and China.\u003cbr/\u003e\"We would like to reassure our customers we would like to handle this recall as efficiently and as quickly as possible in order to solve the problem,\" said Toyota Motor Europe spokesman Etienne Plas.\u003cbr/\u003eEarlier this week Toyota halted sales and production of the models.
