(dec. 20)\u003cbr/\u003e[Notes:ANCHOR VOICE]\u003cbr/\u003e Genesis the cow LOOKS like any other Holstein on this Maryland dairy farm, but she's different. \u003cbr/\u003e She's a clone - and that's brought trouble for her owner, dairy farmer Greg Wiles.\u003cbr/\u003e Wiles is waiting for the federal Food and Drug Administration to rule on whether meat and milk from cloned cows are safe for consumers - something the agency's been studying since 2001.\u003cbr/\u003e Until it decides, the F-D-A is asking farmers to voluntarily keep cloned beef and milk out of the food supply.\u003cbr/\u003e F-D-A officials say there doesn't SEEM to be anything wrong with food products from cloned cattle, but won't make a final decision until its analysis, known as a risk assessment, is complete. That COULD come by the end of the year.\u003cbr/\u003e Critics say pressure from the food industry has kept the government from giving its approval, fearing consumers will reject food from clones.\u003cbr/\u003e  All this leaves Wiles in limbo, along with other American farmers who have dabbled in cloning. The dairy industry estimates there are at least one-hundred-fifty cloned cows on U-S farms.\u003cbr/\u003e Wiles cloned a champion dairy cow to create Genesis and her sister Cyagra (see-AGra) in 2001, a few months before the F-D-A asked farmers to hold off on selling cloned animal products. \u003cbr/\u003e Wiles continued to invest in cloning, and Genesis produced six offspring sired by a cloned bull. \u003cbr/\u003e Customers began to steer clear of the farm, wary of cloned and non-cloned cattle mingling.\u003cbr/\u003e[SOT Greg Wiles, Dairy Farmer: \"Business basically completely dried up, and we have not sold an embryo or a bull in the last three years.\"]\u003cbr/\u003e These days all he sells is milk, but says he dumps milk from the CLONED cows down the drain to comply with the government request.\u003cbr/\u003e Wiles is also in the middle of a bitter family dispute over the business, and faces eviction for failing to pay rent on the 20-acre farm. That only adds to the pressure to defy the ban and send his cows to be slaughtered for meat.\u003cbr/\u003e[SOT Wiles \"If I don't find a new home for these animals for them to live out their lifetime, I could be forced by a court of law to introduce them into the food chain.\"]\u003cbr/\u003e Wiles says he wouldn't send Cyagra (see-AGra), the sister of Genesis, to be ground into hamburger - she's developed health problems and has had trouble producing calves.\u003cbr/\u003e  Wiles says he offered Cyagra (see-AGra) to the government to study the effects of cloning on
