Senegal.\u003cbr/\u003eFollowing an appearance on Capitol Hill to talk about drug-fighting programmes in South America, Powell stopped to talk with reporters.\u003cbr/\u003eHe was asked about the situation in Liberia and what the United States plans are as the situation in the country becomes more chaotic.\u003cbr/\u003eMeanwhile, three US ships with 2,000 Marines and 2,500 sailors aboard some Pentagon officials said President Bush was inclined to send in a smaller contingent - perhaps several hundred Marines - and only enough to provide command and communications support for an
