This interest is what inspired the story-line to \"Lucy\" a decade ago. \u003cbr/\u003eWhen asked why he decided to direct the movie himself, Besson said because of his strong personal interest in the subject.\u003cbr/\u003e\"I was very concerned about the subject so I don't want anyone else to fuck up the film basically. So there is no way I want to give one to somebody else. This one I knew that it was for me, because I think I can bring something because of who I am. When it comes to 'The Big Blue' or things like this, I am almost half a fish, so no one else. Maybe James Cameron can make it better than me. He's the only director, diver that I know who is great. Woody Allen won't be good at 'The Big Blue.' You know, he will stay on the boat and say 'Oh my God, oh, oh, oh, oh my God, oh oh.\"\u003cbr/\u003eBesson explained \"Lucy\" is a fun movie that has something for everyone. Younger audiences can enjoy the action-thriller part, while older audiences can enjoy the storyline that explores what we could do if humans could unlocked 100 percent of their brain capacity. \u003cbr/\u003eThe movie also explores the subject of immortality and gives the interpretation on what it could mean. \u003cbr/\u003eBesson explained that ultimately the movie is about human beings and their ability to pass on knowledge and experiences to others and to the next generation.\u003cbr/\u003eThe director also talked about his cinema school, which has been open for three years, saying it was his way of passing on his knowledge and what he has learnt from the industry. \u003cbr/\u003e\"I don't do it to get an image, or it's not a social position.
