Once that buffalo dropped, I mean  it was like my heart dropped, it was pumping so fast. And once I started approaching that I could feel it even more pumping, I was so excited. And tell you the truth, that's the most excited I've been in my life.\")\u003cbr/\u003e(\"I was aiming right for his ear, and um I must have hit him somewhere over here. I came up to him and said a prayer to you know, him and the creator, letting him know he's going to the creator and his body left behind for the people. So I mean, he um, went to heaven with peace.\")\u003cbr/\u003e(\"Well back in 1855 you know, it guaranteed us the rights to hunt national forests and unclaimed lands. And about the treaty of 1855, one of our chiefs mentioned 24 times about buffalo. And we it's been like a 130, 130-plus years since the tribe has actually participated hunting buffalo up here in Montana. Today I shot my first buffalo. And I was actually kind of scared, I didn't know what was going to happen, but he went down. I looked at that buffalo with great respect. He was actually an American icon for the American Indian. We're a tribe from Eastern Oregon, and here we are hunting buffalo in Montana. That's really a journey for my tribe, to make that bounce from Pendleton to here.\")\u003cbr/\u003e(\"Can you imagine what they had to go through 250 years ago? They'd be here for two to three years, they'd live in teepees, made of buffalo hides, and they had little skirmishes  with other tribes because they are after the same animal.\")\u003cbr/\u003e(\"When I get back home, I'm going to encourage very many of my friends, and relatives to come up here and try to do what we did these last couple days.\u003cbr/\u003eYou know I think everybody should have a shot at doing this.
