on Sunday, an international coalition of non-governmental organisations met at the \"Public Eye on Davos\" conference.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Public Eye\" was launched in 1999 by the Berne Declaration, an independent organisation, to provide an alternative forum for debate on globalisation and a counter to the World Economic Forum. \u003cbr/\u003eIt is held each year simultaneously with the W-E-F and moved to New York this year when W-E-F organisers decided to hold their conference in New York.\u003cbr/\u003eMembers of the public were invited to attend panel discussions over a four day period. \u003cbr/\u003eAt another meeting held on Sunday outside the W-E-F, Jordanian Queen Rania joined music impresario Quincy Jones and Peruvian President Alejandro Toledo to talk about NetAid, a non-profit organisation designed to fight world poverty.\u003cbr/\u003eSupporters of the programme, called NetAid World Schoolhouse, spoke to a packed room of top executives attending the World
