Engine\u003cbr/\u003eNeil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, landed in Rockefeller Center on Tuesday for the opening of an exhibit commemorating the 100 year anniversary of the Wright brothers' inaugural flight.\u003cbr/\u003eArmstrong was joined by Amanda Wright Lane, the great grand-niece of the Wright Brothers.\u003cbr/\u003eWhile Armstrong's 1969 landing vessel holds a place in the record books, the former astronaut emphasized that Orville and Wilbur Wright were the true pioneers.\u003cbr/\u003eBeside replicas of historic planes, shuttles and engines, Armstrong honored the brothers' determination before presenting a model of his own Apollo landing pod to children from New York's School for Discovery.\u003cbr/\u003eAmanda Wright Lane thought it was a great time to talk about the Wright Brothers and said that this historic milestone wasn't just due to plain luck, but through scientific development.   \u003cbr/\u003eThe exhibit, \"Centennial of Flight,\" commemorates Orville and Wilbur Wright's historic 12-second flight in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina on December 17th, 1903 and innovations in flight made over the last century.
