But when the deal was announced in Frankfurt, fears over substantial job losses were confirmed.\u003cbr/\u003e00.19 The Chairman of Deutsche Bank said around five-thousand  five hundred (5,500) staff would be made redundant worldwide as a result of the take over - mostly in London and New York.\u003cbr/\u003eHe stressed that Bankers Trust would not bear all the job losses and said global markets, global equities, and technology departments would be worst hit. \u003cbr/\u003e00.40 Bankers Trust shareholders have been offered ninety-three dollars a share.
