Super Friday - as it's been called - is expected to see 400-hundred...\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eEnglish/Nat\u003cbr/\u003eAll across Sydney on Friday, thousand of families were up and ready before dawn to make their way to Olympic Park for the busiest day of the Games so far. \u003cbr/\u003eSuper Friday - as it's been called - is expected to see 400-hundred thousand people coming into and out of the Olympic site. \u003cbr/\u003eAPTN joined one Australian family in the early hours of the morning to make the trek across the city. \u003cbr/\u003eMany spectators were up before the sun in order to get ready for their journey to Olympic Park for the first day of the athletics events. \u003cbr/\u003eThe Knight family were one of thousands of Australians who listened to government warnings about transport problems and expected delays on what's due to be the busiest day ever on Sydney's transport system. \u003cbr/\u003eGetting up early wasn't a problem for the Knights.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English)\u003cbr/\u003e(Question: \"Do you want to sleep more?)\u003cbr/\u003e\"Yeah, cause I'm tired..\"\u003cbr/\u003e(Question: But you want to go?) \u003cbr/\u003e\"Yeah\".\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Oliver Knight\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English)\u003cbr/\u003e\"We're watching the athletics, all of us do athletics.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Ashleigh Knight\u003cbr/\u003eThe children were so excited about their big day out that they were awake well before the alarm went off. \u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English)\u003cbr/\u003e\"Because it's going to be the biggest day today and the crowds are going to be huge so we thought we better get an early start.\" \u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Angela Knight\u003cbr/\u003eFriday is the first day since the opening ceremony that the main stadium has been open to the public.\u003cbr/\u003eIt will be filled and emptied twice and crowds of 400-thousand people are expected in the Olympic Park, double any previous record. \u003cbr/\u003eLike many Australian families the Knights started their day with a good dose of vegemite on toast while watching Olympic highlights on television. \u003cbr/\u003eIt's the family's second trip to the Games.\u003cbr/\u003eThis time around, they're taking a packed lunch, as they weren't impressed with the long queues for food on their first trip.\u003cbr/\u003eOlympic fever has gripped the Knights, like everybody else in Sydney and they are expressing their patriotism by wearing appropriate attire.\u003cbr/\u003eHowever, this time they've opted for the flag instead of the green and gold \u003cbr/\u003eNo outfit is complete without the latest in fashion accessories, the stick-on tattoo of the Australian flag, before the Knights can make the big journey. \u003cbr/\u003eSydney's central station was swarming with people by the time the Knights got there. \u003cbr/\u003eHowever, there were no delays, trains with a capacity of 15-hundred people were departing every minute and the family made their 30-minute journey without a hitch. \u003cbr/\u003e\"Good so far, so far so good.
