Mid of entrance to Livestrong headquarters\u003cbr/\u003eCycling fans in Austin said on Monday they weren't worried the sport will lose its following because the city's hometown hero was stripped of his Tour de France titles.\u003cbr/\u003eRiders at a popular track in Armstrong's home town of Austin said the sport that he helped build in the US will live on, along with the athlete's work fighting cancer.\u003cbr/\u003e\"His cancer research seems to be more on top of everyone's mind, the Livestrong organisation, that is, than Lance himself,\" said Matthew Lamm, an Austin resident and cycling enthusiast.  \u003cbr/\u003e\"I don't see Lance around here every day, but I see the colour yellow every day,\" Lamm added.\u003cbr/\u003eYellow is the colour Armstrong adopted for Livestrong, the cancer-fighting foundation he created.  \u003cbr/\u003eEvan Smith, Cyclist and Austin resident added: \"whatever he did as an athlete, you can't take away from what he's done for cancer research and for people dealing with cancer\".  \u003cbr/\u003eOnce the toast of the Champs-Elysees, Lance Armstrong was formally stripped of his seven Tour titles Monday and banned for life for doping.\u003cbr/\u003eThe decision by the International Cycling Union marked an end to the saga that brought down the most decorated rider in Tour history and exposed widespread cheating in the sport.\u003cbr/\u003eIt's also devastating for Tour de France organisers, who have to carve seven gaping holes from the honour roll of the sport's biggest event.  \u003cbr/\u003eArmstrong's fiercely defended reputation as a clean athlete was shattered by the US Anti-Doping Agency two weeks ago, when it detailed evidence of drug use and trafficking by his Tour-winning teams. \u003cbr/\u003eUSADA released its report to show why it ordered Armstrong banned from competition in August. \u003cbr/\u003eMonday's judgment by the UCI was just the necessary next legal step to formalise the loss of his titles and expel him from the sport.\u003cbr/\u003eNevertheless, in Austin, many said Armstrong's legacy - in terms of what he did for cycling - was more important.\u003cbr/\u003e\"I know he's definitely been a big part of building the culture here,\" said A.J.
