delegates reached a decision late on Wednesday but delayed making any announcements until they could agree on the wording of their official statement. \u003cbr/\u003eIranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zangeneh told reporters before the formal meeting began at OPEC headquarters that they had decided not to change anything at the present time.\u003cbr/\u003eOPEC's 11 member nations faced a near impossible task in  trying to reach a consensus amid the prevalent economic and political unease which followed the September 11th  terror attacks on the United States.\u003cbr/\u003eShrinking demand and uncertainty over the U.S.-led anti-terror campaign have plunged oil prices by several dollar. \u003cbr/\u003eBut members were constrained from cutting output to bolster prices as such a move could have tipped the fragile world economy decisively into recession.\u003cbr/\u003eOPEC's room for move was also limited by the reluctance of key members to antagonise the United States, the biggest importer of OPEC crude oil.\u003cbr/\u003eOPEC supplies almost two-fifths of the world's oil and has cut back its official production three times this year already.\u003cbr/\u003eBut many OPEC members are still producing well above their individual quotas, for a total that analysts estimate ranges from 700,000 to 1.5 million barrels a day. \u003cbr/\u003eSome OPEC oil ministers have expressed concern that cascading oil prices might trigger a rout comparable to that of December 1998, when crude oil plummeted to as low as 10 dollars a
