Various of relatives holding up pictures of kidnapped loved ones\u003cbr/\u003eHundreds of relatives of kidnapped victims of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) took to the streets of Bogota on Tuesday, to reject President Alvaro Uribe's move to rescue the hostages by military force.\u003cbr/\u003eThe move comes after President Uribe withdrew his offer to negotiate a humanitarian prisoner exchange with leftist rebels last week after blaming FARC for a car bomb that injured 23 people.\u003cbr/\u003eMore than five-hundred outspoken relatives of sixty-two high profile hostages gathered in Bogota's Bolivar Plaza to condemn Uribe's hardened stance.\u003cbr/\u003eFamily of the hostages said the use of military force would condemn the hostages to death. \u003cbr/\u003e\"We say no to a bloody and violent military rescue and yes to the humanitarian agreement, which is the only way our loved ones will be released alive from the depths of the jungle,\" Yolanda Pulecio, the mother of kidnapped former Presidential candidate Ingrid Betancourt, said.  \"I awoke very saddened today, I know my daughter Ingrid is in danger. I can feel it.\"\u003cbr/\u003ePulecio was joined at the protest by Betancourt's husband Juan Carlos Lecompte, both of whom have been strong promoters of negotiating a humanitarian agreement between the FARC and the Uribe government. \u003cbr/\u003eBetancourt, who is a French and Colombian citizen, was kidnapped during her presidential campaign in 2002. \u003cbr/\u003eA French group pressing for Colombian rebels to free thousands of hostages, some of whom have been held captive for more than a decade, warned on Saturday that armed intervention could lead to disaster for the captives.\u003cbr/\u003eOver the weekend, the French-based International Federation of Committees for Ingrid Betancourt appealed to European leaders to ensure that the government in Bogota did not resort to force in an effort to free the captives. \u003cbr/\u003eIn May 2003, a military attempt to liberate hostages failed when the FARC killed ten people including former Antioquia Governor Guillermo Gaviria Correa. \u003cbr/\u003eGaviria Correa's widow Yolanda Pinto joined the relatives of the kidnapped at the Bogota protest to ask the government not to move in military troops.\u003cbr/\u003e\"They put the life of those who are kidnapped in extreme danger. strengthened its police presence in rebel territory over the weekend after ruling out talks and threatening force to free hostages.\u003cbr/\u003eOfficials said some 150 police officers were sent to the remote southwestern municipalities of Florida and Pradera, where the number of rebels had risen in recent months.\u003cbr/\u003eThe rebels have demanded the government declare the area a safe haven so the two sides could hold discussions there on swapping jailed rebels for about 60 high-profile hostages.\u003cbr/\u003eThe FARC has not commented on the
