Media  \u003cbr/\u003eAustralian FM Alexander Downer, on Sunday, called for constitutional government to continue in the Philippines on Sunday following a military mutiny.\u003cbr/\u003eRebellious soldiers demanding the Philippine government's resignation stormed a major commercial center in Manila's financial district and wired it with explosives earlier on Sunday. The president gave the mutineers seven hours to surrender or face military action.\u003cbr/\u003eSpeaking in Singapore, Downer said the events could not have come at a worst time when he said the Philippines government was in the frontline in the war on terrorism.\u003cbr/\u003e\"The Philippines government has worked earnestly to try to counter terrorism and the last thing we need at this time
