Wide of stage during soundcheck \u003cbr/\u003eMusic legend Bruce Springsteen kicked off his European tour on Tuesday, with the first of two sold-out nights in Norway. \u003cbr/\u003eCrowds packed into Oslo's Telenor Arena - the largest in the city - to watch the rocker and his E Street band take to the stage. \u003cbr/\u003eSpringsteen even surprised early arrivals with an eight-song acoustic set as the audience streamed into the building - although many more fans that had not yet arrived missed the bespoke performance.\u003cbr/\u003eThe summer tour takes in 33 performances in 14 European countries through the end of July - quite an accomplishment for an artist who shows no signs of slowing up at age 63.\u003cbr/\u003eTuesday's concert opened with a local favorite - E Street Band member Steven Van Zandt - taking to the stage to sing to the audience. Van Zandt, or Little Steven as he's known, is the star of hit Norwegian TV show Lilyhammer, in which he plays the part of a mobster who moves his criminal capers to Norway on a witness protection scheme. He delighted the crowd with a rendition of Frank Sinatra's \"My Kind Of Town\".   \u003cbr/\u003eBut of course it was Springsteen who the fans wanted to see perform a string of his classic numbers and newer material. \u003cbr/\u003eAt a sound check earlier in the evening, The Boss told journalists that it was his humble upbringing that shaped the man he became. \u003cbr/\u003e\"The first 18 years of my life were in a small town, working class parents, and I experienced all of that up very, very, very closely\" said Springsteen, recalling his childhood in his native New Jersey. \"It's the most impactful time of your existence. The things you witnessed then, remained the way you frame the world I believe... for the rest of your life\".\u003cbr/\u003eSpringsteen says he uses those childhood experience to shape his songwriting even today, saying that \"drawing on those things is not second nature, it's first nature for me\". \u003cbr/\u003eKnown for his political support of the Democratic Party and President Obama, Springsteen said that social inequalities in the USA motivate his work - which has often strongly reflected the struggles of working class Americans. \u003cbr/\u003e\"The huge problem in America right
