The plant opened last year and is in the early stages of producing nuclear fuel for power plants.\u003cbr/\u003eBrazilian Science and Technology Minister Sergio Rezende said the country expects to have between nine and 13 nuclear power plants operating by the year 2030. \u003cbr/\u003eHe said they were \"safe, efficient and non-polluting,\" with no release of greenhouse
