But now a number of priests are denouncing the Mafia and urging their parishioners to  follow suit. \u003cbr/\u003eAPTV was in Termini Imerese, Sicily, earlier this week for a candlelight march in  support of priests who are fighting the Mafia.\u003cbr/\u003eThe bell tolls for the death of the Sicilian Mafia - at least that is what some Catholic  priests have decided.\u003cbr/\u003eAs never before, priests in Sicily are risking their lives to openly challenge the Mafia  bosses and encourage the people to rise up against organised crime.\u003cbr/\u003eSome two-thousand residents of the small town of Termini Imerese poured into the  street of their town in a gesture of solidarity with Father Gino Sacchetti. \u003cbr/\u003eHe is one of many Sicilian priests living with a death threat from the Mafia and the fifth  priest living near Palermo with a permanent escort of armed guards.\u003cbr/\u003eSacchetti's parishioners prayed for his life in a silent candlelight march through the  streets. Their unity helped to break down the wall of fear that protects the Mafia.\u003cbr/\u003eFather Sacchetti works with young drug addicts.
