But then while I am doing that movie I'll already be training for this one (\"Motor City\") because this one starts shortly after. For this one I want to beef up a bit and get some of my menace back in. Although they are both kind of menacing characters but this one, this guy is without a doubt more of a badass, more on the wrong side of the tracks.\"\u003cbr/\u003e\"Motor City\" is due to start shooting in September. Directed by Albert Hughes it co-stars Gary Oldman and tells the story of a freed convict out for revenge.\u003cbr/\u003eThe actor currently has nine other films either in pre or post-production. He says his approach to preparing for them differs each time:\u003cbr/\u003e\"You've got to train so you can basically kick the sh*t out of people without killing them or without killing yourself and you have got to do it again and again and again and you've got to look really good while you are doing it. So fortunately I have done that a lot and so it's not like it takes me forever to get in to that condition, but each time you are coming from a different angle. Sometimes you might just be a guy who is brutal and violent and sometimes you might be somebody who is more versed in martial arts or with me it's often been with a sword, a spear and a shield and sometimes it's been classic sword and shield and sometimes it's been at twice the speed like with '300.' Always coming from a different angle, or trying to make it a different angle, so it feels fresh to you.\"\u003cbr/\u003eBut Butler says, despite having to get fully fit for the role, he won't need to beef up quite so much as he did for his role as the Spartan king in \"300.\"\u003cbr/\u003e\"Any kind of action movie requires filming the movie and then a lot of work on top of that because you have got to do training. I mean I have done movies where, and it'll probably be like this with this movie, with 'Motor City,' where I will be filming and then I'll be training on top. And when you are filming these movies you are filming 12 to 16 hours a day. When I did '300' we were doing 15, 16 hours a day and then when I wasn't working I was at the gym. Or in between breaks I was training or I was pumping. I don't think it's going to be quite as taxing as that. It doesn't really need to be that, this is going to be way more about, this movie is going to be more about character but it is busting with action.\"\u003cbr/\u003eIt seems there's no stopping the Scottish heartthrob at the moment - he has a string of action movies lined up, including Antoine Fuqua's \"White House Taken\" (about an attack by North Koreans on the White House) and Iraq movie \"Thunder Run,\" in which he appears opposite Sam Worthington and Matthew McConaughey. \u003cbr/\u003e\"I've never been in this position before,\" he says.  \"There are times when I have been producing movies and I have gone to actors and it's been like they are not available for two years, which is very weird. I have my own trainers you know and guys who I can beef up with who are going to stretch you out and keep you supple because it is really easy to get injured on these movies when you are training every day. You are training to build up and you are also training because you are doing a bunch of action so you are, there will be a lot of fighting. There is a huge amount of action in this movie. So there is going to be some really brutal, fun action, but you have got to train for that.
