Now basically, in this case I think from the standpoint of race, it was introduced by this witness Fuhrman, this stuff about playing a race card is preposterous, it was malpractice if a man had racist views in a case and the lawyer doesn't pursue that.\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Johnnie Cochran, Defence Lawyer \u003cbr/\u003eHowever Robert Shapiro admitted that he was at odds with the rest of his team over making the race issue so central to their argument.\u003cbr/\u003eRegarding the race issue, I'm going to speak about that at greater length when I get my thoughts together. but there has been a difference of opinion with many of the lawyers. I said from the beginning that race was not an issue in this case and should not be an issue. I still feel the same way. However credibility was always an important issue in this case. And I think that's what the jury focused on.
