These glasses can give you a new way of seeing the world....\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eIt is all about wearable devices at this year's CEATEC gadget show in Tokyo. \u003cbr/\u003eSmart glasses are giving consumers the added edge, and there's even an app to improve your golf swing. \u003cbr/\u003eThese glasses can give you a new way of seeing the world. \u003cbr/\u003eThe BT-200 from Epson is the next generation of augmented reality platforms and, according to the producers, can open up a whole new world for the entertainment, manufacturing and medical science industries. \u003cbr/\u003eThey're taking central stage at this year's CEATEC gadget show in Tokyo, Japan. \u003cbr/\u003eEach lens has its own display, right in your field of vision, projected into your surroundings.\u003cbr/\u003eThe BT-200 boasts 2x the virtual screen size and retails for around $900 USD. \u003cbr/\u003eEpson PR Manager,  Asayuki Izumi says the company has been selling the glasses successfully since June. \u003cbr/\u003eHe explains how the glasses work: \"Today we are promoting the concept of 'Wear it Use it Epson' and we are showcasing our wearable gadgets that make use of our latest technologies. One of our main gadgets is the see-through mobile viewer Moverio-BT200. This product uses our micro display technology and just by wearing these (Moverio) glasses you can see a screen floating inside the lens and with that you can enjoy a variety of visual material or use applications.\"\u003cbr/\u003eToshiba is another company offering a new way of seeing. \u003cbr/\u003eThe company is showing off a glassware prototype at CEATEC and have their eyes firmly on Google. \u003cbr/\u003eThe Toshiba Glass comes with a mini projector clipped on to one of the arms near the lens. The projector displays an image that reflects off the inside of the lens to provide an augmented reality-type display.\u003cbr/\u003eCEATEC is showing off a range of gadgets that are now firmly focused on the consumer market. \u003cbr/\u003eThis product is really getting into the swing of the CEATEC show - a gadget that can apparently improve your golf handicap. \u003cbr/\u003eThe M-Tracer (short for motion tracer) contains a gyro sensor and a further sensor that detects acceleration. It can be attached to a golf club to give feedback on the curve of a swing. \u003cbr/\u003eA perfect present for golf fans, according to Izumi, who says this is less cumbersome than previous devices which always required the use of a camera and a complex set up.\u003cbr/\u003e\"The M-Tracer is a sensing device developed entirely by us which can take very accurate measurements. This is one of our core devices. Even if other companies wanted to develop something similar to it I don't think this is something anyone could do very easily,\" says Izumi.\u003cbr/\u003eEpson is also promoting a range of smart watches including the WristableGPS. \u003cbr/\u003eIzumi explains, \"If you think about Quartz watches, which many people are still wearing today, those were first introduced by Epson. The concept of wearable devices, a product that is small, uses little energy and can be worn is something we are very familiar with.\"\u003cbr/\u003eAdding to the wealth of health tracker gadgets, Pulsense measures the pulse and tracks physical activities throughout the day. The data can provide feedback to a mobile app or through a computer. \u003cbr/\u003eIt would not be a gadget show in Japan without some robots. \u003cbr/\u003eThese cheer leading robots bob about without crashing into each other. Developed by Murata, the robots show the latest advancements in balancing, avoidance systems and synchronisation. \u003cbr/\u003eAnd if you are stuck for a table tennis partner, then perhaps this ping pong robot could be your new buddy. \u003cbr/\u003eTakuya Tsuyuguchi from the Omron Corporation explains: \"This ping-pong robot is really a demonstration of how a robot can interact with a person and react in an appropriate manner.\"\u003cbr/\u003eBut this robot could do much more than playing ping pong in the future, says Takuya Tsuyuguchi. \u003cbr/\u003e\"In the future we envision this robot perhaps being used in a factory (or production line) and having a role in which it would have to interact with a worker to do/build something.
