People of former Khmer Rouge town are taught not to make any religious ceremony and people outside town don't like Pol Pot. No one wants to remember what happened.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Chhorn Ny, A government soldier\u003cbr/\u003ePol Pot reportedly died of a  heart attack 15 kilometres (10 miles) from Anlong Veng in a shack near the Thai border.\u003cbr/\u003eHis Maoist inspired Khmer Rouge wanted to  build a classless, agrarian utopia but instead turned the country into a vast labour camp.\u003cbr/\u003eAs many as two (m) million people died of overwork, disease and systematic execution before an invading Vietnamese army toppled Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge in 1979.\u003cbr/\u003eBut the group stubbornly fought from the jungles until key leaders started defecting in 1996.\u003cbr/\u003eToday, Anlong Veng is no longer a puritanical communist stronghold on a war footing.\u003cbr/\u003eThe first Vietnamese carpenter settled in the town a month ago. \u003cbr/\u003eIn the old days, he would have been killed on sight. \u003cbr/\u003eThe Khmer Rouge considered the Vietnamese as their number-one enemy. \u003cbr/\u003eMurdering ethnic Vietnamese civilians was considered part and parcel of any Khmer Rouge soldier's duties.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (Khmer)\u003cbr/\u003e\"I don't see any problem here at all.
