It includes pieces from as early as end of 1940s until the time of his death in 1967 in Bolivia.\u003cbr/\u003eThe subjects featured in his photographs are colleagues, friends, family and various landscapes of his extensive travels across Latin America and a few other countries of the period when he became a government official in Cuba.\u003cbr/\u003eThe exhibition also showcases rare videos of the first trip Ernesto Che Guevara made to China in 1960 where he was greeted by Mao Zedong and other Chinese leaders.\u003cbr/\u003eOne of the curators who is bringing the exhibition to China is Camilo Guevara, son of the revolutionary icon. \u003cbr/\u003eGuevara says he is hoping to repay a \"long debt\" his father has with China.\u003cbr/\u003eHe says: \"This exhibition aims at showing the relationship of the Che and photography, through some photos and audiovisual material shown here people will be informed about this. There are also videos about the trips he made, like the trip he made to China, we can find that here.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe exhibition has been brought to China by private companies working alongside the Che Guevara Studies Centre in Cuba, a research institution solely dedicated to the research of the studies of the Argentinean-born Ernesto Che Guevara.\u003cbr/\u003eCamilo Guevara was only five years old when his father died in the jungle of Bolivia, so his memory is a vague but he says he keeps his father's memory alive by working full-time for the research centre in Cuba.\u003cbr/\u003eYoung Chinese people attended the opening of the photo exhibit held in a trendy gallery in Beijing's art district known as \"Cao Chang Di\". \u003cbr/\u003eWu Qi a 26-year-old, writer graduated from the prestigious Beijing University says: \"The reality is that young people in China don't really know who he is, therefore this exhibition could be a great opportunity to refresh the memory of who the Che is. In my view he is not only a photographer, or a successful artist, what is most important about him is the historical and political contribution he made to the world in the past.\"\u003cbr/\u003eErnesto Che Guevara visited China twice in the 60s, and met with Mao Zedong as it is shown in the videos displayed. \u003cbr/\u003eA partnership never fully developed between Cuba and China, mainly because Cuba was heavily dependant on the Soviet Union at the time.\u003cbr/\u003eNevertheless, young Chinese people at the time knew of Che Guevara, and his iconic \"revolutionary\" photos impacted a young generation of Chinese students.\u003cbr/\u003eBut it's Che Guevara's photographic side that is the main focus of this exhibition, and among photos of the trips and friends there are a few of his intimate moments with his children.\u003cbr/\u003eHis aesthetic sense and subjects present how Che viewed the world according to the exhibition's curator Jillian Schultz.\u003cbr/\u003eShe says: \"It's really interesting to see the camera in the hands of this significant historical figure and allow us to experience the world through his view finder.\"\u003cbr/\u003eIt has been more than 50 years since Ernesto Che Guevara visited China for the first time.\u003cbr/\u003eThe exhibition could refresh memories of Che Guevara in China, this is what his son is hoping for.\u003cbr/\u003eGuevara says: \"Maybe some people don't know who he is, albeit wearing t-shirts with his image printed on them, but maybe this can be a way of them getting interested on finding out who this icon is, who is that person in that T shirt.
