Computer graphic image of what the site might look like according to the winning redesign plan of architect Daniel Libeskind\u003cbr/\u003eWorld Trade Center rebuilding officials opened a worldwide competition on Monday to design a memorial to the victims of the terrorist attacks.\u003cbr/\u003eThe memorial will be a feature at the heart of the rebuilt WTC site, according to a redesign plan for the site by architect Daniel Libeskind. \u003cbr/\u003eThe design competition is open to anyone in the world over the age of 18. Applicants must register by May 29 and will have until June 30 to submit their design.  A 13-member jury will choose approximately five finalists and select a winning design in the fall.\u003cbr/\u003eThe memorial is to include references to the February 26, 1993, bombing of the trade center as well as the September 11, 2001, attacks in New York, at the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania.\u003cbr/\u003eThe guidelines for the memorial, including its 4.7-acre boundaries, were published on a special internet site on Monday.\u003cbr/\u003eThe announcement for the competition was made at the Winter Garden, across the street from the World Trade Center site.  \u003cbr/\u003eThe winning
