What we found is that the sample of Taco Bell taco shells sold on grocery store shelves tested positive for Cry9C.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION:  Larry Bohlen, Friends of the Earth\u003cbr/\u003eThe corn at issue, which is produced by Aventis Corp. and goes under the trade name StarLink, is the only GM crop that isn't approved for human consumption.\u003cbr/\u003eIt is one of several varieties of adulterated corn that contains a bacterium gene that makes the plant toxic to the European corn borer.\u003cbr/\u003eA scientific panel that advises EPA was unable to decide this summer whether the protein in the corn, Cry9C, should be allowed in food. \u003cbr/\u003eOfficials with the Environmental Protection Agency and Food and Drug Administration said they were looking into Monday's finding and that FDA may have its own tests done.\u003cbr/\u003eThe environmental groups are pushing the FDA to recall all products that may be tainted. \u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English)\u003cbr/\u003e\"If the companies do not adhere to that, the FDA's recall, then we are asking the FDA to take the steps that they have to under the power of the Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic Act, namely they can seize a product if it is  on the market.
