He said he his first tent had been destroyed by fire and he'd bought his current tent with his own money.\u003cbr/\u003eAnother refugee, Walid Farhan, said he hadn't received a stove. Farhan criticised the distribution service.\u003cbr/\u003eThe region was recently buffeted by a winter storm that caused freezing temperatures and heavy snow fall.\u003cbr/\u003eWith no end in sight to the fighting in Syria, the humanitarian situation is worsening among 8.8 Syrians who have been uprooted from their homes. \u003cbr/\u003eOf those, 6.5 million are internally displaced and the other 2.3 million have sought refuge abroad.\u003cbr/\u003eIn Geneva, the UN appealed to donors on Monday for 6.5 billion US dollars in funds to help support the nearly nine million Syrians uprooted by the conflict, the largest ever appeal for a single crisis.\u003cbr/\u003eThe appeal is based on projections of continuing humanitarian needs because of the massive displacement of Syrians both inside and outside the country into 2014.\u003cbr/\u003e1.
