For a woman - especially a young woman that have no children or didn't finish her family, It's a crucial thing\".\u003cbr/\u003eThe researchers were approached by the patient three years ago prior to aggressive treatment for non hodgkins lymphoma\u003cbr/\u003eDor and Meirow cut out slices of her healthy ovarian tissue and put it into cryo-preservation - a deep freeze.\u003cbr/\u003eBut three years of aggressive treatment left the patient infertile and in a state of menopause - at just thirty years old.\u003cbr/\u003eBut her follicles or un-ovulated eggs which had been cryo preserved  - were still healthy.\u003cbr/\u003eDor and Meirow transplanted the ovarian tissue back into the ovaries.\u003cbr/\u003eOther researchers were sceptical because the ovaries were basically dead.\u003cbr/\u003eIn previous trials doctors inserted ovarian tissue slices into the abdominal wall or arm but never produced ovulated eggs.\u003cbr/\u003eDor and Meirow's gamble paid off.\u003cbr/\u003eThe slices produced just one ovulated egg and they succeeded in fertilising it with the husbands sperm and implanted the embryo. \u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE (English) - PICTURES OVERLYAED\u003cbr/\u003e\"I thought this is the right place to do it - you don't put an eye on the ear.
