They are dangerous men and committed jihadists who would do whatever it takes to kill an American here, even killing themselves to get to that point.\"    \u003cbr/\u003eThe United States has reacted with \"disappointment\" to a key United Nations (UN) panel which on Friday urged the US to close its prison at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, because the indefinite detention of terror suspects there violates the world's ban on torture.\u003cbr/\u003eThe report by the UN Committee Against Torture on US compliance with the global ban on prisoner abuse came as the US military disclosed that prisoners wielding improvised weapons clashed with guards trying to stop one of four detainees from attempting suicide at the prison.\u003cbr/\u003eAt the US State Department spokesman Sean McCormack disputed the finding saying, \"we don't think the Commission really took into account all the information provided to it in terms of changes in policy, changes in laws, changes in procedures.\"\u003cbr/\u003eGerman Chancellor Angela Merkel and Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen are among European leaders friendly to the Bush administration who have said Guantanamo should be closed.\u003cbr/\u003eUN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and UN investigators also have called for it to be shut down.\u003cbr/\u003eUS President George W.
