He made no mention of the political turmoil still surrounding the vote after the opposition candidates called for a boycott.\u003cbr/\u003eKarzai is widely expected to win, but vote-counting could take weeks.\u003cbr/\u003eKarzai thanked Schroeder, whom he called \"a good, old friend of Afghanistan,\" for making the trip so soon after Afghanistan's election on Saturday. \u003cbr/\u003eGermany
