I think this is absolutely, totally unacceptable and unheard of that an occupying power keeps a curfew and keeps a huge proportion of the civilian population suffering day by day. Various UN team touring camp\u003cbr/\u003eThe United Nations envoy to the Middle East strongly condemned the Israeli government on Thursday while touring the devastated Jenin refugee camp. \u003cbr/\u003eTerje Roed-Larsen called the scenes at the camp horrific and said the area looked as though it had been hit by an earthquake.  \u003cbr/\u003eHe said it was completely unacceptable for the Israelis to refuse to allow humanitarian aid agencies into the camp.  Larsen added that he had seen the corpse of a 12-year-old boy and said that the stench of death \"tells its own story\".\u003cbr/\u003eIn a week long battle at the camp, which ended on April 11, Israeli soldiers fought Palestinians armed with rifles and bombs. The Israeli army says that 23 soldiers were killed and that most of the casualties, which they estimated in the dozens, were Palestinian gunmen. \u003cbr/\u003ePalestinians claim hundreds of people may be buried beneath rubble in the centre of the camp, which was pounded by tank shells and pulverized by Israeli army bulldozers. \u003cbr/\u003eRed Cross and Red Crescent teams have been operating inside the camp since Monday, but say they do not have the equipment they need to recover bodies and mount a comprehensive search for
