Both of us have very popular sensibilities we like actually turning on lots of people instead of a few very sophisticated people, I think that's the world both of us come from. So hopefully it won't be that screechy thing,'' says Copeland.\u003cbr/\u003eHe also hopes that the operas are success, not only for them, but for the opera industry as a whole:\u003cbr/\u003e''So that the opera companies you know will be able to pay that huge orchestra, hire those very highly trained singers, who get very little respect considering how much harder they work at it than your pop singers who get an easy ride. And that was Anne Dudley. So when the Royal Opera House commissioned her to do something, for Operashots, she rang me and asked if I would like to write a libretto. How did you?\"\u003cbr/\u003eStewert Copeland: \"I don't know, I got a call and I was too stingy to hand over anything to a librettist and besides the piece that I had figured to do was such a great piece that already had the language on the page so it was a piece of cake really to turn that into a libretto.\"\u003cbr/\u003e3. And then, to salve everybody will be Terry and Anne's piece, which is a fun piece, which will cheer everybody up so you get some yin and then some yang.\"\u003cbr/\u003eTerry Jones: \"Yours is based on the Edgar Allen Poe story.\"\u003cbr/\u003eStewert Copeland: \"Yes it is  'The Tell Tale Heart,' which is the tale of a heinous crime and the descent into madness of the perpetrator who insists that he carries out his crime, his horrible mad crime with such precision that he couldn't possibly be mad. It was written at a time before anyone knew about psychology so the author Edgar Allen Poe was just intuiting, he was trying to work out, how a crime by someone who is obviously mad can be behave so rationally.\" \u003cbr/\u003e5. These opera singers have no hope of getting on 'Top of The Pops.' They're not going to chart, unless their song gets picked up by the football association of something.So they go through all that life of training and dedication, it's a real vocation without much glimmer of a reward at the end of the rainbow, in fcat there's not even much of a rainbow.''\u003cbr/\u003e11.
